Our Proposals for a new Public Consultation on a new, high quality hotel for Long Lane

Indicative CGI illustration of proposals

Re-imagining 1-8 Long Lane with high quality 'home from home' hotel, amenity space and significantly enhanced sustainability

This updated proposal is for a new destination at 1-8 Long Lane, centred around a boutique hotel operated by an established and quality provider. Designed by hotel specialists EPR, this scheme will provide The Resident the very best in hotel accommodation.

Long Lane sits in an area of ongoing change and growth, increased and supported by the recent opening of the Elizabeth Line. In addition to this, the area is home to significant cultural offers including the Barbican Centre, which sits within the Culture Mile Business Improvement District and from 2026 will be home to the Museum of London through the Smithfield General Market regeneration. Our ambition is to create a thriving new building with sustainability at its heart and encourage footfall to the local area with restaurant, café and retail options.

Ahead of submitting an application to the City of London Corporation, we are keen to share our vision for the site and to gather feedback on the proposals.
